The Frightening Reality of the 2007 Pet Food Recalls

Every time another recall notice comes out relating to pet food, my heart sinks and I say a prayer for the poor animals who are affected and their humans who love them. I wonder what it must feel like to be one of those people who must face the reality that they may have exposed their beloved family member to toxins that have hurt or possibly even killed them! I shudder to think of it, and count my blessings that none of the foods on those ever-expanding recall lists are what I feed my own gang of pugs or the foster dogs that come through my doors.
Why am I afforded this luxury of knowing that my dog food is not on these recall lists?
