- If I wanted to e-mail about a certain young pug named Kiwi, that is on medical hold because she has demodictic mange. Who would I e-mail to? I have never had the oppertunity to adopt a pet like this before and I have already sent in an application. I have researched on this condition, and it's seems to be common but I'd like to talk with someone about Kiwi's progress.
- Hi. The dog that I applied to adopt is on medical hold and I am worried about her. I was wondering is there any way that I can find out if she is okay?
- Questions like this, can be directed to rescue@buffalopugs.org
- Please tell me how long it takes to get a response to an adoption application? I have a confirmation # and have not recieved a phone call or an email. Please advise?
- Normally, we do not contact an applicant until we have a dog their matches with their application. We receive many application each day and it would be difficult to make contact with each person with the limited volunteer staff that we have. This is unfortunate, but if we had more volunteers we would be able to handle this situation alot better.
- We recently adopted a 10 year old rescued pug. He is the sweetest boy, until we try to trim his nails. Then he growls, snaps, and tries to bite. Any suggestions on how to help him acclimate to this much needed grooming activity?
- I live in Toronto, Canada. Would love to adopt a rescue dog if possible. Do you adopt dogs out to people living in Canada? If so what procedures must be followed, re: customs etc.?
- Yes, we adopt to Canada often. The only necessity to cross the border with an adopted animal is it's rabies certification.
- I WANT TO CHANGE MY APPLICATION TO ADOPT TWO DOGS INSTEAD OF ONE. HOW DO I DO THIS?
- Send an email to rescue@buffalopugs.org. Be sure to include your confirmation number.
- I adopted a dog in November and wanted to know if I could send an updated picture to put on the website?
- You sure can! We love pictures of our adoptees! Just send it to rescue@buffalopugs.org and we will load it into the gallery.
- I live very close to Bflo Pug & Small Breed Rescue. I work full time but may want to volunteer. How can I offer my services on a very limited basis?
- Thanks for your interest in volunteering to help with our rescue. If you go to the menu at the top of our site, under Applications, click on Volunteer, and you can complete a volunteer application and submit it online. On the application you can choose the level of participation you are able to contribute. We are always in dire need of foster homes, but if you are unable to foster and would like to help with other aspects, such as transport, fundraising, etc., we would welcome the support.
- How do I change my level of participation? I would like very much to help but right now I cannot foster. My dog is very old and is not too happy with the little guys I bring home. She may not last much longer and until then she deserves peace and quiet.
- We are always looking for volunteers, whether it be fostering, transport, home visits, fundraising, etc. So, just because you arn't ready to foster, doesn't mean you can't help out in other ways, so please fill out an application and let us know where you might be able to help.
